PubChem contains the chemical structures of small organic molecules and information on their biological activities. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and bioactivity data in three primary databases, PCSubstance, PCCompound, and PCBioAssay, respectively. PubChem is integrated with Entrez, NCBI's primary search engine, and also provides compound neighboring, sub/superstructure, similarity structure, bioactivity data, and other searching features. The NLM Visible Human Project® has created publicly-available complete, anatomically detailed, three-dimensional representations of a human male body and a human female body. Specifically, the VHP provides a public-domain library of cross-sectional cryosection, CT, and MRI images obtained from one male cadaver and one female cadaver. The Visible Man data set was publicly released in 1994 and the Visible Woman in 1995.

The Computational Photography Project for Pill Identification (C3PI) created the RxIMAGE database of freely available high-quality digital images of prescription pills and associated data for use in conducting computer vision research in text- and image-based search and retrieval. Photographs of pills for the RxIMAGE database were taken under laboratory lighting conditions, from a camera directly above the front and the back faces of the pill, at high resolution, and using specialized digital macro-photography techniques. Image segmentation algorithms were then applied to create the JPEG images in the database.
Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) is a hierarchically-organized terminology for indexing and cataloging of biomedical information. It is used for the indexing of PubMed and other NLM databases. Updates to the data files are made according to the following schedule:
NLM produces a baseline set of MEDLINE/PubMed citation records in XML format in December of each year. NLM also produces daily update files that include new, revised and deleted citations. Yearly citation totals from each year of the MEDLINE/PubMed Baseline referencing citations back to year 1781. These totals may increase over time for a particular year as new citations are added. For example, 25 citations were listed for the year 1800 in the 2018 MEDLINE/PubMed Baseline, while the 2019 Baseline includes 387 citations for that year.
A digital archive of the published federal notices of judgment (a summary of the final outcome of a court case) for manufacturers and products prosecuted under authority of the 1906 Pure Food and Drug Act. Disaster Lit®: Database for Disaster Medicine and Public Health is a dataset of links to disaster medicine and public health documents available on the Internet at no cost. Documents include expert guidelines, research reports, conference proceedings, training classes, factsheets, websites, databases, and similar materials selected from over 700 organizations for a professional audience. Materials were selected from non-commercial publishing sources and supplement disaster-related resources from PubMed (biomedical journal literature) and MedlinePlus (health information for the public).
Pillbox contains metadata for oral solid dosage form medications, derived from FDA drug labeling, including physical characteristics, active and inactive ingredients, National Drug Codes, information about firms marketing those products, selected information from RxNorm, and links to images provided by the National Library of Medicine.
